Rocco Mediate Wins First Champions Event and Comes "Home" To Naples This Week

Part time Naples resident Rocco Mediate birdied the 18th hole to finish 2 strokes ahead of Tom Pernice at the Allianz Championship.  Pernice, who also won his first event as a Champions Tour member, just missed a 5-footer for birdie that would have forced Rocco to make his own putt. 

 

Rocco comes to Naples this week for the Ace Classic and will no doubt receive a lot of support here.  He owns a home in Talis Park and is also a member of the exclusive Calusa Pines Golf Cours.

 

The Ace Group Classic is February 12-17 at Twin Eagles.

Final Field for Ace Classic in Naples includes 19 Major Champions

Nine of the 2012 Money List’s Top 10 and 28 of the Top 30 players have committed to the field and the list of competitors also features six World Golf Hall of Fame members and ACE Group Classic newcomers Rocco Mediate, Steve Elkington, Bart Bryant, Duffy Waldorf and Gene Sauers.
